Meet the Team
Jonathan Deason, Esq.
Jonathan’s extensive career has focused on both traditional real estate sales as well as new construction sales throughout the city’s most popular neighborhoods—including Noe Valley, Mission Dolores, Castro, Mission, SOMA, NOPA, Hayes Valley, Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, and Presidio Heights.
In addition to single-family home and condominium resales, Jonathan has extensive experience in the listing and sales of new construction condominium buildings and TIC-conversion projects-having sold over 100 of these units in recent years. Jonathan’s legal background enables him to work closely and manage the legal paperwork with Title Company’s Subdivision departments, the City and County of San Francisco, condominium and land use attorneys, budget preparers & DRE deputies to assist in the issuance of the final documentation (Public Report) required to sell new and converted developments.
Jonathan was born and raised in Santa Monica, California and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from U.C. Berkeley in Art History before going on to earn his Juris Doctorate at U.C. Hastings College of the Law, where he served on the Law Review. Jonathan is a homeowner in San Francisco’s Corona Heights district and is active in the San Francisco nonprofit community. Jonathan also holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate (with multi-engine and instrument ratings) and is an active owner/pilot of a Cirrus SR22T.
Alan Martinez
Prior to selling real estate, Alan led, coached, and inspired a team of over 30 salespeople at a successful Bay Area automotive dealership. A leader, who leads through high involvement, Alan is still highly regarded by his peers in the industry and continues to share tips and tricks of the trade with them.
A native of the Bay Area, Alan has called San Francisco his home since 2011. Since growing up as a young boy, Alan has always felt enamored with the unique freedom to be you that San Francisco champions. In his time in the city, he’s lived in six different neighborhoods and currently resides at One Rincon Hill in South Beach. A self-proclaimed extroverted extrovert, Alan can usually be found entertaining friends at his condominium or sharing a pitcher of margaritas by the building pool. Alan’s diverse residential experience and intense love for San Francisco help him to educate his clients about the vibrant culture of each unique SF neighborhood and assist them in choosing the perfect new home!

Alan’s number one priority has always been giving his clients the personal attention they deserve, always making them feel like the only person in the room. Nicholas Spangler
Known for his positive, engaging attitude, Nicholas’ professional background in service, sales and business informs his astute, client-centric approach. Whomever the client, he always takes the time to listen closely and give them careful, customized advice. He understands that real estate is often the biggest investment a person will make in their lifetime, and he truly cares about helping his clients make smart, informed decisions. Clients consistently appreciate Nick’s positive demeanor, discretion, and strategic guidance as they navigate the entire sales, purchase or investment process, step by step.
Prior to joining The Deason Group, Nicholas served as the head of Vanguard Properties’ Analytics Department, with 9 years of market research expertise under his belt. Accomplished in a wide array of qualitative and quantitative research practices and methodologies, Nicholas’ extensive background in market research provides our clients actionable insights through straightforward understanding and articulation of the current market.
In his downtime, Nicholas passionately loves optimizing his nutrition and health in service of his other true love (outside of real estate!) weight training. In addition, he is an avid reader and especially enjoys history, psychology and philosophy. In his travels, he loves exploring new cultures and histories and is particularly fond of traveling throughout Asia.
